Tickets on sale for Austin Chapter Scholarship Dinner Cruise

It's that time of year again to "get onboard" for the Annual Austin Chapter Scholarship Dinner Cruise 7 p.m. May 20.

Participants will depart from the LCRA Jack Miller Building aboard the Lake Austin Riverboat "Commodore's Pup."  The cruise will navigate up the mighty Lake Austin with the sounds of the Lake Travis Fiddles.  The trip includes a fajita buffet with margaritas, tea and water.  There is also a cash bar to satisfy TIAA's thirsty cruisers.

This event sells out every year, so get your tickets early.  Tickets are $75 per person and must be purchased in advance by May 12.

Call Hank Amor, TIAA vice president, at (512) 751-0855 or via E-mail,  to purchase tickets or for more information, or Lee Roberts, TIAA executive director, at (210) 445-7625 or via E-mail, to purchase tickets or for more information.

This is a great opportunity to help the association provide scholarships to students in communities across Texas who want to or are already attending automotive vocational schools.  Bring your spouse, managers, good customers, employees or any other adult friend who wants to help and have some good clean fun in the sun.

Note that the riverboat will be available for boarding behind the LCRA's Jack Miller Building, 3700 Lake Austin Boulevard at 6:45 p.m.  Parking is available in the LCRA parking lot and garage located directly across the street from the departure site.  Please do not use the Hula-Hut parking lot; you are subject to being towed for parking in any non-designated area.  Maps and directions, including a parking map, may be downloaded from www.austinriverboats.com.
